International student union

Greetings from ISU! International Students Union (ISU) is a high school student-organized group taking leadership roles in the international student community at Bellevue Christian School. We help with planning school events and create a better experience for every international student. On this webpage, we will be sharing students from our international students community to help you better know your classmates and hear their stories and what they want to say!
Avery (Dan) Nguyen is an international student from Vietnam, and she started studying at BCS in 2019 as a junior. During her years at BCS, she genuinely loves many things about BCS. She said that “students are very friendly; they help me become more confident and make me feel involved”. Avery also said that teachers are considerate and professional as they always care about their students. Most importantly, Avery loves the most about the cultural diversity at BCS, where everyone welcomes and embraces new cultures into the community, which is very precious in her perspective. In addition, Avery loves how BCS holds many great events for students, teachers and even parents to join, which really helped her to get closer to other students. In the first year of her study at BCS, Avery was very involved in school and she had participated almost every event at BCS. Her favorite activities participated at BCS were formals, Sammamish day, international student activities, Senior sunrise and theatre plays. Generally, Avery said that she enjoyed every single event at BCS.

Tim (Taehee) Lee is an international student from South Korea, and he was one of the first junior high international students who started attending BCS in 7th grade in 2015.
Tim genuinely loves math, so during his time at BCS, he likes the math department at BCS as well as all the teachers who are always so kind and respectful. Tim’s favorite activity is Sammamish day, in which he thinks “it was a peaceful trip”. Tim also likes many international student activities at BCS, where he was able to hang out with his friends and enjoy their time.
